About
Since 1983, the Peppertree Restaurant has been a Colorado Springs fine dining spot, offering expansive views of the city and tableside cuisine.
The concept began when Tom and Rick Dominguez founded the esteemed restaurant. In 2003, they sold it to Neil and Paula Levy, who were already involved in Colorado's restaurant business through the Swiss Chalet in Woodland Park. Their son, Max Levy, eventually became the restaurant's owner and general manager.
The Levy family’s commitment was recognized in 2017 when OpenTable named the eatery among the "100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America."
Not wanting to rest on their laurels, the Levy family temporarily closed the restaurant in 2024 to renovate the entrance, bar, and dining room while retaining the kitchen and its traditional dining style. Once more, their efforts paid off, earning a spot in the Best of the Best in Southern Colorado.
While ambiance and upgrades are paramount, they are meaningless without stellar cuisine. Leading the kitchen is Chef James Case, whose culinary team balances time-tested classics with seasonal updates. One of the restaurant's signature touches is tableside cooking, where tuxedo-clad servers cook the steak and perform the flambé.

Sitting atop a knoll outside of town, the one-story building blends with its setting. In fact, it’s hidden from view on Moreno Avenue, marked only by a short pole sign at the entrance.
